Live Painting

I’ve been told that watching me paint can be mesmerizing. I’ve been told people could watch me for hours. I’ve been told it's unbelievable! Well I don’t know about that last one but I do get a kick out of painting in front of people.

I am now offering Live Painting for events so that your guests can experience my art in the making. My services include a prepped piece of artwork that will be completed in front of your guests during the event. Your guests can either bid for the original artwork to raise funds for a charity or it can be prepaid for a set price.

I’m available for corporate events, charity galas, fundraisers, weddings, birthdays and pretty much any kind of celebration. Let’s set up a meeting so we can discuss the details of your event and make art one of the highlights.

Paint Party with Monica

Unlike the typical paint and sip style of art parties, mine is a little different. I start everyone off with the same outline but then it’s all about getting creative. You get to pick the colors and add other patterns based on your interpretation of the artwork. During the presentation part of the party I break down some basic concepts of color theory and how to use the supplies I provide. Then we cover a little bit of Q&A and then it’s painting time!

I like to remind everyone that when we were little we all colored with crayons. We all loved to have fun with colors and didn’t care about fitting into a mold or following some preplanned design. It felt natural to express ourselves.

I encourage everyone to experiment, explore and make your piece YOURS.

I am available to come to your location for a corporate event, private birthday party, any celebration really. I can also host small parties at my studio and I have access to bigger spaces within the Sawyer Yards complex too.
